Description

James Deen wears a black long-sleeved T-shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a pair of black jeans as he introduces another video of James Deen Loves Food. Another person is with him in the kitchen, Kirker Butler who is wearing a pink button-up Penguin polo and a pair of denim jeans. His accessories include a pair of eyeglasses and a ring. James starts off the video by asking Kirker why they’re making cotton candy. Kirker explains that cotton candy is one of the three food groups in Kentucky. The other food groups are mountain dew and urine. They both laugh. They are definitely fooling around. Cotton candy is delicious. They both agree on that. They don’t actually plan in making the normal cotton candy that one can buy from the grocery store. They are making cotton candy by using ingredients that no one would ever think of. At least that’s what they believe in. James has a pink cotton candy maker on the kitchen countertop and he begins putting ingredients in. He starts off with Werther's original caramel hard candies. As he places the candies on the cotton candy maker, James asks Kirker if his grandmother is from Kentucky, and he says yes. As they wait for it the finished product, Kirker explains about a book, Pretty Ugly that discusses about children’s beauty pageant in Kentucky. As they talk about the TV shows that Kirker writes for, Werther's original cotton candy is ready. Both men find the cotton candy hard and both agreed that it tasted bad. James moves on to Lifesavers hard candy, which he describes as a bit more tropical. As he puts in the candy into the cotton candy maker, he asks Kirker about the inspiration in writing the book. Kirker explains that he was on a writer strike and had nothing to do when his wife told him to write a book. He also mentions that writing a book is harder compared to writing for television of the number of people involved. Their verdict for the Lifesavers hard candy is that it tastes terrible but tastes better than the Werther’s cotton candy. James goes for the Kopiko coffee-flavored candy as his third choice. He asks Kirker about his inspiration and he says that he loves children’s beauty pageant because her mother was in charge of the pageant in the county. It is time to taste test the coffee-flavored cotton candy and the two men’s verdict is it is not as bad the Werther’s. Kirker suggests to combine a Mentos and a Jolly rancher into the maker and James happily agreed. Kirker says that the cotton candy looks better than the other ones and James says that it’s because of the color. After tasting the cotton candy, Kirker says that it’s pretty good but James seems not to like it. The two men then opt to mix Gobstopper and Nerds into the cotton candy maker. They talk about Family Guy as they wait for the cotton candy to finish. The mixture doesn’t turn out well and becomes liquid sugar instead. James inhales it and he almost sneezed and throws up. They didn’t get the chance to have a bite of the Gobstopper and Nerds mixture Kirker chooses the next ingredient and opts for the Taco mixture. Kirker likes the cotton candy but James doesn’t. The men decided to put seasoning on the ready-made cotton candy. Kirker chooses Emeril seasoning and none of them liked it. Mesquite seasoning followed and both get disgusted by the taste and refer to it as the worst ever. Kirker decides to mix sriracha, butter, white cheddar and taco mixture on the cotton candy. He adds more butter, white cheddar and siracha on it. And the verdict on the final cotton candy is bad. It tastes too bad that Kirker ended up cursing and saying that it’s a terrible mistake.
